View of the meandering Semois river to Ménil
main description
From here you have an exceptional view of the Semois as it meanders along the valley from Termes (a typical Gaume village with a row of houses and the traditional wide pavement style frontage so often seen outside French road-front houses) and in the background the foothills of the Ardennes with the huge Rossignol-Suxy-Chiny forest. Below your feet is the old ford for taking geese across the Semois river. In the distance, is the edge of the wood behind the church at Termes, the office of the caretaker for the château Croisettes.additional description
