The Virton-Ville nature trail
main description
The Virton-Ville nature trail is a footpath that will allow you to follow or access several interesting natural sites: the Solumont nature discovery area, a wetland, an educational pond and, a little further along, la Fagne de Pierrard marshland. The specific interest in these sites as a whole, is that they form an ecological corridor. The site is actually a network of elements that allow species of animals and plants to circulate. In addition, the former railway track forms another ecological corridor and the fact that it has not been concreted means that species disperse more easily. The rows of indigenous trees and bushes lining the track also provide linking elements. This corridor is essential for preserving biodiversity.
