A short walk from the commercial district of Florenville is the beautiful Neo-Gothic Church of Our Lady of the Assumption. From the top of its 50m tower, visitors can see around 800 km² of countryside. On a clear day, it is possible to see the tower of Montmédy church, and those of the churches of St Donatus and St Martin in Arlon, and sometimes even the Douamont citadel at Verdun.additional description
The tower is open every day in July and August . Behind the church is another viewpoint, offering visitors a superb panoramic view of the Semois valley, the villages of Sainte-Cécile, Martué, Lacuisine and Chiny and Orval Abbey, set in the magnificent Ardennes forest.more about this
